This week flew by! I can’t believe I’m heading into the last week of cycle 1! I was determined this week to really make sure I stayed on plan and smashed 5 HIIT workouts and I’m pleased to say I did! I tried a couple of Joe’s HIIT workouts on YouTube but I’m not ashamed to say I found them too difficult! I could do some of the moves, but had to keep stopping etc, and the whole point of the HIIT is to work as hard as you can for the 30 or 40 seconds that you’re on, and I found I couldn’t do that with Joe’s HITT’s! Not yet at least. Hopefully as I become fitter and lose more fat, it will become easier for me. I mixed up this week with the 2nd of Angela’s beginner HIIT workouts, and this one was great as it was slightly harder than the last (tricep dips, dumbells etc), but the jump was not so large I couldn’t keep up.
We also invested in a electrical spiralizer as the manual one I was using for meals such as my favourite Teriyaki salmon was taking WAY too long and was super stressful! It’s been a lifesaver! My courgetti turned out nice and crunchy, and took a fraction of the time to create! Best investment ever!
I’m still struggling badly with my sleep pattern! I sleep deeply, and I think I can attribute that to this plan, however, not long enough at all. I’m starting a new job on Monday, so I need to increase the hours in which I sleep, and I know it will help with the fat loss too. That’s my target for this week. Plan wise I’m pretty happy with where I am, I’ve got my head round it and am sticking to the principles (almost) 100%! My skin is much improved over the last 3 weeks, I’ve not been wearing foundation over the last couple of days and I’ve barely noticed! My mother also commented on my face looking slimmer, so that’s a real plus! I definitely believe the plan is working, I’m looking forward to see where it takes me over the next couple of months.
As I mentioned previously, I start a new job this week and I’m interested (and slightly anxious) to see how I’ll be able to keep up with the plan as the routine I’ve created during my time at home will totally change! I usually do my HIIT sessions in the morning, and cook my meals as I go. This week, I’m planning my HIIT for the evenings post work (as I know I won’t wake up at 6am to do one), and have to make breakfast in the morning before work. In my ‘old life’ I’d just sip a coffee in the morning whilst getting ready for work and grab a banana as I head out of the door, so have to make time for this! I’ve also prepped all my lunches for the week so I’m not tempted to buy any food on the go as I’m surrounded by food chains where I work!
